John Lynge is a recurring character in the first season. he is played by guest star Benjamin Boe Rasmussen. He becomes the chief suspect in the murder of Nanna Birk Larsen after he is identified as the driver assigned to the vehicle where her body was found. He flees questioning inciting a manhunt.

Background[]

He has a history of criminal behavior beginning with an incident of indecent exposure. He was later involved in a sexual assault. He was incarcerated in a psychiatric prison in 1998 and disowned by his only surviving relative, his sister. He was released from the institution some time later. He is a temporary worker for the Troels Hartmann election campaign.

Season 1[]

He becomes the chief suspect in the murder of Nanna Birk Larsen after he is identified as the driver assigned to the vehicle where her body was found. He flees the police when they arrive at his workplace. He attempts to steal money and a vehicle, first from his sister and then from a christian volunteer. When the volunteer is not at home he makes her elderly neighbor a prisoner in her own home while he robs her. The police track him to the apartment building.[1]
